Composite Preforming

Capable of producing all the body panel preforms for new all carbon fibre supercar for well known manufacturer. This project involved writing the software and designing the control hardware for the entire system of pre-forming tables, control rack with real-time computer and monitoring software. The hardware controls 80 lamps giving 160kW of power in 22 zones. The software allowed the customer to define a recipe for each bed using a wizard. Each recipe defined the set-point, time and percentage power to each bed. There could be many steps for each recipe, allowing the user to define complex profiles.
