SSDC's job was to design and integrate the nano-focusing system of a revolutionary blu-ray DVD mastering system. This was done using LabVIEW RT in a PXI rack, using a DAQ card to read back and then predictively compensate to the nanometer (billionth of a meter) the undulations in the glass platter. System linked to OPC server using datasocket. This was done on site and had to fit around all the rest of the build.
